Sophie Barnes, A Gentle Introduction (PEOPLE WILDERNESS 2026)

Each one of us was already deep into a solo crossing of the continent when our paths overlapped in Northern Chile. For two weeks, we rode together instead. This frame caught us on day one, bare feet thawing out after the first river crossing at 4000m, a gentle introduction for what was still to come.
