Peter Nelson, A new day dawns. (NATURE WILDERNESS 2026)

This was taken while driving to the NFP 'Operation Flinders' high ropes course on Yankaninna Station in the remote Gammon Ranges. It had rained heavily during the night, so the tracks were a challenge. I had stopped to decide how to cross a creek and I noticed movement on the spur line ahead. As the sun was still very low, this red kangaroo was a silhouette. I had to take the photo!
