Tam Durney, Australian Safari (NATURE WILDERNESS 2025)
This moment was captured during a sunrise cruise in Kakadu National Park. We saw many crocodiles throughout out the morning but not nearly as many that saw us. I like this photo because it feels like you're on an African safari, there's similarities in the landscape and the species. Unfortunately one of the species in this photo isn't meant to be here, and that's the buffalo in the distance. The buffalo have had a devastating impact on the ecosystem since being introduced, and we can only hope their numbers are brought under control sooner rather than later.
