Lisa Zrim, Black-Winged Stilts in Harmony (NATURE WILDERNESS 2025)

This photograph was taken in May 2025 on Bird Island in the Coorong of South Australia. Two Black-winged Stilts gracefully forage in harmony as they cross paths in the shallow margins of their habitat. These birds use their long legs to wade and their bills to pick up insects or probe for crustaceans. Taken using a Nikon Z7 and Nikkor Z 180-600mm lens.
