Brody Gamble, Breaking Point (PLACES WILDERNESS 2025)

As I stood before this incredible scene in Iceland's south-east, I was captivated by the textures and colours, and the enormity of what was before me. The glacier was stunning and seemed to flow endlessly from the valley. However, whilst there, I spoke to a local photographer. He said that when he would come here twenty years ago, where we were standing and beyond was all glacier. Now I was standing at the edge of its cracked fragments. This was a bleak reminder that we are at an environmental breaking point. But there is still hope. We can take care of our natural world and preserve locations such as this for future generations.
