Ngaire Hart, Enderby Island (PLACES WILDERNESS 2025)

One of the Sub-Antartic Islands half way to Antartica know for its incredibly rich diversity and unique cliffs, sculptured by the unrelenting winds of the Southern Ocean. The Northern cliffs serve as apartment towers of extraordinary vertical columns of lava, like great hexagonal columns, painted with mosses, lichen and bird droppings that look like a work of art.
