Steve Killeen, Fire and Stone (PLACES WILDERNESS 2026)

Photographed at the Bay of Fires in Tasmania in August 2024. The evening had been calm and fairly flat, but as sunset approached the wind picked up and rain began moving in from behind. At the same time, the sky suddenly exploded with colour. I composed around the granite rocks and moving water, using the last light to bring out the colour and texture of the coast.
