Steve Killeen, Highland Whisper (PLACES WILDERNESS 2026)

Taken from Marion’s Peak at Cradle Mountain, Tasmania. Misty rain was moving through the landscape, constantly changing the scene and softening the mountains into layers. I noticed a faint rainbow appear in the mist, and that became the reason I composed the image the way I did. It was a quiet moment where the weather became just as important as the landscape itself.
