Korey Summers, Hope in the Grass (NATURE WILDERNESS 2026)

I captured this image at Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary in Canberra while out photographing one afternoon. I was fortunate to come across this Eastern Quoll sitting in the golden grass, and for a brief moment it looked straight towards me. Seeing one of Australia's threatened native marsupials in its natural habitat was a memorable experience and a reminder of how important protected places like Mulligans Flat are for wildlife conservation.
