Scott Bartley, Hvanngil Valley (PEOPLE WILDERNESS 2025)

The Laugavegur Trail in Iceland showcases many of Iceland's geological wonders. This photo captures two hiking buddies whom I met on the trail, Cecile and Jen, within the awesome backdrop of the Hvanngil Valley. I love the way the colour and formality of Hvanngil Hut contrasts the rugged mountain ranges, while the laval formation in the foreground adds great perspective.
