Sheila Peake, In the dust and heat (NATURE WILDERNESS 2026)

The heat of the desert plays trick on your senses, with distant mirages looking like water. On a small ridge overlooking the salt pans of Etosha National Park, Namibia, the heat mirage silhouetted a herd of relaxed Wildebeest just watching and grazing. This provided an explosion of colour and shapes as the sun lowered across the surrounding desert landscape.
