Our Tasmanian landmark which the greater city of Hobart wraps around. Often covered in snow in the winter it is our beacon Sleeping Beauty is a striking mountain formation in Southern Tasmania. It gets its name because its silhouette, seen most clearly from the Huon Valley and Huonville, forms the distinct shape of a woman lying down: Collins Bonnet (1,260m) forms the head and hair, while Trestle Mountain (1,100m) creates the bosom Taken from the Channel south of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia
