I captured the first few moments after it breached the surface, completely covered in sand, emphasising the physical toll of its very first journey. The aggressive, mid-push stance of its flippers and its unwavering forward gaze give this tiny turtle a large personality. This serves as a testament to the fact that survival in the wilderness demands a serious attitude from the very first breath.
