Henry Higgins, Weddin Mtns Emus (NATURE WILDERNESS 2025)
The Weddin Mountains nature reserve rises up in the middle of flat grassland in inland NSW. Once the hideout and staging grounds for bushrangers who took advantage of the views to look for stagecoaches transporting gold. Still providing a refuge but now for native plants and animals. The surrounding farmlands and groves of native cypress provide the perfect environment for emus. I visit this region often and I am always excited by the families of emus moving together through the sunrise.
